Our India Motorcycle Weekend Special tour starts with a super smooth 200 km ride on the Delhi-Agra expressway on Day 1. The magical allure of the Taj Mahal draws tourists to Agra like moths to a wondrous flame. And despite the hype, it’s every bit as good as you’ve heard. Along with Delhi and Jaipur, Agra forms the Golden Triangle of tourism in India. Day 2 sees us riding a short distance of 55 km to Bharatpur,  famous for its wonderful Unesco-listed Keoladeo National Park, a wetland and significant bird sanctuary. This tremendous bird sanctuary and national park has long been recognised as one of the world’s most important bird breeding and feeding grounds. In a good monsoon season over one-third of the park can be submerged, hosting more than 360 species within its 29 sq km. The marshland patchwork is a wintering area for aquatic birds, including visitors from Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, China and Siberia. The park is also home to deer, nilgai (antelope) and boar, which can be readily spotted. Keoladeo originated as a royal hunting reserve in the 1850s. It continued to supply the tables of the maharajas with fresh game until as late as 1965. In 1982 Keoladeo was declared a national park and it was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1985. By far the best time to visit this park is October to February when you should see many migratory birds.  Sariska, at a distance of 140 km on Day 3, is a popular tourist destination in Rajasthan,  mainly known for its tiger reserve. Enclosed within the dramatic, shadowy folds of the Aravalli Hills, the Sariska Tiger Reserve is a tangle of semideciduous jungle and craggy canyons sheltering streams and lush greenery. It is home to peacocks, monkeys, majestic sambars, nilgai, chital, wild boars and jackals. Day 4 on our Dussehra Trail motorcycle tour sees us riding back to Gurugram in the NCR region, thus bringing an enthralling weekend adventure, where we come in touch with the historical heritage and wildlife natural habitats, to a fitting end.
