Srinagar
Ringed by an arc of green mountains, Srinagar's greatest drawcard is mesmerisingly placid Dal Lake, on which a bright array of stationary houseboats and shikara (gondola-like boats) add a splash of colour and a unique opportunity for romantic chill-outs. Charming Mughal gardens dot the lake's less urbanised eastern shore; while the old town bustles with fascinating Central Asian–style bazaars and a collection of soulful Sufi shrines.
Srinagar to Kargil
Maple trees dotted road, jaw-dropping views at the Zoji La pass (3528 metres) and a ride through Drass, the second coldest inhabited place in the world.
Kargil to Leh
Riding through Namki La (3700 metres) and Fotu La(4108 metres) passes. En route are Lamayuru (the largest gompa in Ladakh) Magnetic Hill (at 11000 feet) and the confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers.
Leh
Few places in India are at once so traveller friendly and yet so enchanting and hassle-free as mountain-framed Leh. Dotted with stupas and whitewashed houses, the Old Town is dominated by a dagger of steep rocky ridge topped by an imposing Tibetan-style palace and fort. Leh’s a place that’s all too easy to fall in love with – but take things very easy on arrival as the altitude requires acclimatisation.
Leh to Nubra Valley
The road trip from Leh to Nubra Valley is one that is at the top of every adventurer’s bucket list, and for good reason! Packed with adrenaline, beauty and stunning views of the Himalayan, Zanskar and Karakoram range, the journey is something right out of dreams. The 5-hour long journey to Nubra Valley from Leh will take you through Khardung La pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world at 5359 metres (17,582 ft)
Nubra Valley
The deep-cut Nubra River Valley offers tremendous scenery on a grand scale, with green oasis villages surrounded by thrillingly stark slopes, and harsh arid mountains. There are sand dunes, monasteries, a ruined palace and double-humped Bactrian camels.
Pangong Tso
Situated at a height of 4250 meters, Pangong Tso is one of the largest brackish lakes in Asia. It is one of the highest altitude lakes in the world that is filled with saline water. Pangong Tso is popular for its changing colour ability. Its colour changes from shades of blue to green to red.
Pangong Tso to Pang
This road will take you over a plateau (42-kilometer long), Skyangchu Thang (the biggest and highest plateau on earth), also called the Moore plains.
PangJi to spa
We cross three high road passes, Lachulung La (5065 mts), Nakee La (4739 mts), Baralach La (4890 mts), two magnificent lakes, Deeptaal and Surajtaal. We also ride through Gata Loops, a series of 21 hair-pin bends.
Jispa to Manali
We travel through the cold desert of Lahaul and Spiti and cross over the tough Rohtang La pass at 3978 metres, to reach the famous hill station of Manali in Himachal Pradesh.
Manali
Manali has a reputation as a backpacking center and honeymoon destination. Set on the Beas River, it’s a gateway for skiing in the Solang Valley and trekking in Parvati Valley. It's also a jumping-off point for paragliding, rafting and mountaineering in the Pir Panjal mountains, home to 4,000m-high Rohtang Pass.
